Tote/Shopping Bag Workshop.
Saturday 16th March 2019.
Duration - at least 3 hours.
Tutor - Emma Doyle of Sweet Williams.
This class is aimed at adults.
This listing is to attend a sewing workshop in person at my South Wales sewing studio. The studio is attached to my handmade gift shop, called Sweet Williams, which is based at 13 Herbert Street, Pontardawe, Neath Port Talbot, SA8 4EB.
You will learn through group demonstration and 1 on 1 tuition how to make a beautiful shopping bag. This class would be suitable for those who are beginners to sewing, already having a little bit of knowledge and wanting to expand their skills.
You will learn the basic functions of a sewing machine, the best tools to use for the job and where to find them. You will learn how to measure and cut the fabric and how to create a reversible shopping bag, complete with matching handles and coordinating pocket.
You will be able to decorate your bag with buttons and trims should you wish to do so.
You will not be required to bring anything with you on the day, you can simply turn up as all fabrics, tools and use of brand new sewing machines are included.
Before we get started we will enjoy a fresh cuppa whilst we chat fabrics.
We will stop half way through the class to top up on tea and coffee and to enjoy a freshly baked cupcake (do leave me a note in the "note to seller box" upon checkout if you have any special dietary requirements).
Classes are kept small to ensure everyone has enough of my time. They are very fun, enjoyable social sessions, learning new skills and you will take home a beautiful useable project.
